Why Hackles. Why now. Why us.
Once upon a time – in the days when the internet was still young, slow, and beautifully imperfect – a comic named Hackles emerged. Subtle. Ironic. Charged with wit, tech jokes, and surprisingly deep human undertones.
The comic reached thousands. Maybe more. And then... one day, it faded away. Swallowed by the noise of data, deleted servers, and forgotten DNS records. Only fragments remained – torn screenshots, broken links, and a few desperate attempts to retrieve something from the void.
But shadows remember. And from the shadows, it has been pulled back.
Resurrected from the darkness
Thanks to fragments and a bit of obsessive love, this cult classic could be pieced back together. Not everything survived. Not all was preserved. But the spirit of Hackles has returned – and glows brighter than it did before.
It’s not about money. Not about fame. It’s about respect. About preserving a small part of digital cultural heritage that would otherwise be forgotten.
